Beach Top and Bag
Requirements: Sbieco
 Top 6 balls ( one size fits most)
Needles: 5.0mm (US 8)
Abbreviation: yo = Yarn over the needle
Slip1 = slip one stitch without knitting it
PSSO pass slip stitch over the last knitted stitch
Cast on 91sts. Knit 10 rows.
Next row: Knit1, (* yo, slip1, knit1, PSSO* ) to end of row.
Repeat the last row for 81 rows.
Knit 6 rows.
Next row: Knit 30, cast off for neckline the following 31 sts, knit to end of
row.
Next row: Knit to neckling, cast on 31 sts, knit to end of row.
Knit 6 rows.
Next row: Knit1, (* yo, slip1, knit1, PSSO* ) to end of row.
Repeat last row 81 times.
Knit 10 rows. Cast off.
Decorating fringes: Cut 14" long fringes and decorate your Top as you like it. \
The bunches shown on our picture are 5 strands held together, the bottom fringe
row is done in sets of 2 strand fringes.

Beach Bag
Materials; 3 balls Sbieco
Needles : 4mm (US 6) 60cm circular needle, 1 stitch holder 4"
Further requirements: card as a stiffener for bottom , 2 5" bamboo bag handles
darning needle, stitch count markers
Start at bottom:
Cast on 40 sts.
#Purl first row.
Next row : *inc. 1 sts at both ends of this row and every alt. row *
Next row : Purl **
Repeat from * to ** 3 times. = (total 48 sts.)
Next : Purl 1 row
Next row: knit 1 row ( no increase.)
Next row : Purl
Next row +dec. 1 st. both ends
Next row: Purl ++
Repeat from + to ++ 3 times + ( 40 sts.) ##
To create fold line: Purl one row .
Repeat pattern from # to ##.
Do not cut the yarn .
(Now you have created the bottom ( by folding the piece and cutting a piece of
card board later you will have a stiff bag -bottom )
With the yarn still attached and having 40sts on the needle proceed to
Body of the bag:
With the 40 sts on needle , fold bottom at fold line and pick up 8 sts along
smaller side of bottom, ( please through both layers !!), place stitch holder,
pick up another 8 sts ( please through both layers !!),
now pick up 40sts along the fold line ( not through both layers!!!) and another
8 sts along shorter side (through both layers of bottom ), place stitch marker,
pick up another 8 sts along shorter side (through both layers of bottom ).
Now you have an opening on the inside to insert the card board piece later.
The markers mark the middle of the sides of the bag. Please remember the last
marker ( might be different color??) As your start of the row from now on.
Knit to end of the row ( the last placed marker)
Next purl one round.
Repeat last two rows once.
Next : Knit 6 rounds,
Next: Knit 1 round, purl one round, knit one round, purl one round.
Next: knit 5 rounds;
Pattern round: *knit10 sts. , (knit next stitch by wrapping yarn around needle
twice (instead of usually only once))repeat once, ( knit next stitch by wrapping
yarn around needle three times ) repeat twice, (knit next stitch by wrapping
yarn around needle twice (instead of usually only once)) repeat twice * . Repeat
from * to * to end of round.
Next: Knit 4 rounds.
Next pattern round: *(knit next stitch by wrapping yarn around needle twice
(instead of usually only once))repeat once, ( knit next stitch by wrapping yarn
around needle three times ) repeat twice, (knit next stitch by wrapping yarn
around needle twice (instead of usually only once)) repeat twice , knit 10sts *
Repeat from * to * to end of round.
Next : knit 6 rounds
Next: Knit 1 round, purl one round, knit one round, purl one round.
Next :Knit 6 rounds,

Next: knit 3 rounds.
Next : Lace pattern $ (knit1, sl 1, knit1, psso) to the end of the round;
Next: knit one round$
Repeat from $ to $ 8 times.
Next: Knit 3 rounds
Next: Knit 1 round, purl one round, knit one round, purl one round.
Next: Knit 6 rounds

Top of Bag shaping: ( one handle at a time)
Knit from first markers to second marker = 56sts and turn
Right side of first handle):
Next: Knit 18sts, turn ( leaves remaining stitches on other half on needle)
Next: Slip first sts and purl to last 2 sts, purl 2 together. Turn
Next: Knit2tog, knit until you have 14sts on working needle. Turn
Next: Slip first sts and purl to last 2 sts, purl 2 together. Turn
Next: Knit2tog, knit until you have 10sts on working needle. Turn
Next: Slip first sts and purl to last 2 sts, purl 2 together. Turn
Next: Knit2tog, knit until you have 6sts on working needle. Turn
Next: Slip first sts and purl to last 2 sts, purl 2 together. Turn
Next: Knit2tog, knit across all stitches to the second marker.
Work the left side of first handle opposite following the pattern above.
Ending with 38sts for the ripped handle hem:
Now rip ( k1,. Purl 1) for 16 rows. Cast off first handle by leaving enough yarn
to sew the bamboo handle later on in place.
Follow the instructions for second handle accordingly.
To finish:
Insert bottom stiffener and whip stitch closed.
Fold hem over bamboo handle and stitch.
